I don’t think one can seriously make the case that the kids just need a good beating. I think they must have some issues, even if it’s seeing their parents and rolemodels behaving badly with no apologies or clearly articulated reason.

It occurs to me that perhaps the parents have none, which is why their children cannot  be capable of “articulate reasoning” or any reasoning, articulated or not. If, in their wisdom the adults have found that the cure to our burning schools shall be a few well-timed strokes, well, perhaps we should try the same on the badly behaving chair throwing adults….
